I've never been much of a leader myself. So when I decided to take the journey of teh entrepreneur, I knew I would need a few guides. That was why I picked up this book, and I must say that Plummer Bailor is among the best.
"Small Hinges Open Big Doors" offers a host of actionable strategies for strengthening leadership skills. As the author stresses throughout the text, good leadership is not based on the inherent power of a position or on competency skills. But rather, it seeks to empower and release others for mission accomplishment. I found myself agreeing with every "hinge" of his strategy, some of which are deceptively simple (know and embrace who you are) and some of which scream with the voice of experience (curb the urge to put a negative label on your employees).
This book is also written from a Christian perspective, which as a Christian I appreciated. This is just a magnificent book, as well as a relatively quick read. Highly recommended!
